Sophia And Daphne

If you could stop every atom in its position and direction, and if your mind could comprehend all the actions thus suspended, then if you were really really good at algebra, you could write the formula for all the future

ok. dont ask me why i am doing another of these movie reviews and as it is i am going mad from schoolwork. i was a superfrau today. instead of feeling all-powerful and pleased from accomplishing an astonishing feat of things, i feel tired and irritated.

time for a movie that really left me clueless. it makes u wonder why people do the things they do. its like, one of the lamest, stupidest, iq-deflating, time-wasting, pointless movie of all time. and yet...

movie - napoleon dynamite

this movie follows the protagonist, napoleon dynamite, as he goes through high school in some small town in the states. set in the 80s - early 90s, with the sort-of retro clothes and the days of the sort-of big hair, even the movie has a certain grainy quality to it - then again, maybe it was the problem with the disc. ha. he is a total geek, lies most compulsively, and is so un-cool and politically-incorrect that you almost feel sorry for him.

although, the movie is slow at times and a little weird, there will be times when you simply laugh out loud at the sheer absurdity of the things napoleon and his geek friends say and do.

try to watch till the end. it gets really good. watch out for napoleon's dance scene. and when his brother (i think) sings his - totally tuneless and yet geeky-ly managed to make a tribute to technology in the process - of a wedding speech. and the horse.

welcome to dorkhood.
